A few things worth knowing

When do I have to pay?

Only when you’re ready to make your publication public. Create your account, add recipes, customize your design, and preview your publication for free. There’s no card required to start and no countdown while you build.

What does the $15 include?

Your public publication, hosting, all themes, recipe and page editors, custom-domain connection, audience tools, and the ability to offer paid memberships. The price is $15 USD per publication, billed monthly. You buy a custom domain separately from your preferred registrar.

Are there fees when I earn money?

If you offer paid memberships, Crumb takes 8% of membership payments. Stripe’s payment-processing fees are separate. The $15 monthly subscription is paid to Crumb; your readers’ memberships are paid to your connected Stripe account. There’s no membership fee on free subscribers.

What happens if I cancel?

You can cancel through billing in your dashboard. Your publication stays public through your current subscription period. After that, public access pauses, but your content stays saved and you can still manage and preview it for free. Resubscribing restores public access if you left your publication set to public.

I already have a Crumb publication. Does this change my plan?

Existing publications are grandfathered in and keep their existing publishing terms. The payment requirement applies to publications created after this change. Your dashboard shows whether a subscription is required for yours.

Can I connect Instagram?

Instagram sync is included where available. It currently has a limited rollout and requires a supported Creator or Business account. Check Instagram in your dashboard settings for availability; you can always add and manage recipes yourself.

Your next chapter starts with one recipe.

No application. No minimum audience. No payment until you’re ready to go public.
