Instagram data deletion

You can disconnect Instagram or request deletion of all information Crumb received through your Instagram connection.

Disconnect through Crumb

  1. Sign in to Crumb and open your publication dashboard.
  2. Open Instagram under the Website section.
  3. Select Disconnect and confirm.

Disconnecting removes the access token and stops future synchronization. Existing recipes remain in your publication so you do not unexpectedly lose edited work.

Delete all Instagram-derived data

Email privacy@crumb.so from the address associated with your Crumb account. Include your publication URL and Instagram username. We may ask you to verify account ownership. After verification, Crumb deletes the connection, imported media records, copied Instagram assets, and recipes generated from those records.

Removing Crumb through Instagram's connected-app settings deauthorizes the connection and stops future synchronization. It does not delete recipes you may have reviewed or edited; use the email process above when you want all Instagram-derived data deleted.

Requests are normally completed immediately when received from Meta. Legally required records or security logs may be retained only for the period required by applicable law.
